Kevin Feige Says Fans Might See Yelena Belova Before Avengers: Doomsday
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova will appear on screen before Avengers: Doomsday. The only scheduled MCU release before that film is Spider-Man: Brand New Day, set for July 31.

Kevin Feige confirmed that Yelena Belova will appear in a Marvel film before Avengers: Doomsday. The studio president made the statement on July 11 at BiliBili World in Shanghai. “If you’re a fan of Yelena, wait until Avengers: Doomsday, Yelena plays a big part in that,” Feige said.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the only MCU film scheduled before Avengers: Doomsday. It opens in theaters on July 31. Florence Pugh plays Yelena Belova, who first appeared in the 2021 film Black Widow and later in the series Hawkeye and the 2025 film Thunderbolts*.
At the end of Thunderbolts*, Yelena’s team became the New Avengers. Feige said Yelena will have a substantial role in Avengers: Doomsday, where Robert Downey Jr. will play Victor Von Doom. Spider-Man: Brand New Day stars Tom Holland as Spider-Man, with Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk and Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher.
Zendaya and Jacob Batalon return as MJ and Ned.
