Logitech Developing Foldable Wireless Mouse

Logitech is developing a new wireless mouse that folds in half to make it easier to carry in a bag or pocket. Leaked marketing images shared by WinFuture show the device folded like a clamshell, appearing compact enough to fit in a pocket. The company reported that the mouse caused 22 percent less muscle strain compared to using a laptop trackpad.

The mouse can be used across multiple operating systems. Its design resembles the arched shape of Microsoft's Surface Arc mouse and Lenovo's Yoga mouse when unfolded. Unlike those models, which fold flat, the new Logitech mouse folds in half. No official specifications or dimensions have been released.

One leaked image shows the folded mouse being slid into a pocket, indicating its small size. In place of a traditional scroll wheel, the mouse has an adaptive touch scrolling area between the two standard buttons. A green light on the touch-sensitive area likely indicates an active wireless connection.

The mouse can be paired with up to three host devices via Bluetooth. Its shape is designed for use by both left- and right-handed users. Marketing images indicate the mouse matches the design of Logitech's Keys-to-Go 2 portable keyboard. The keyboard is available in grey, white and lilac, suggesting the mouse may come in additional colors.
