Mauricio Ruffy agrees to serve as UFC Freedom 250 main-event backup

He stated he will make championship weight on Saturday in case either main-event fighter is unable to compete.
Earlier arrangement Last month, UFC president Dana White confirmed that Arman Tsarukyan would act as the backup. Tsarukyan later said he would not weigh in for the event because he is scheduled to compete in a wrestling match the day before.
Ruffy's position on the card Ruffy is already booked to face Michael Chandler at UFC Freedom 250. A victory could move him higher in the lightweight rankings. "I am 100% dedicated to this and I will be ready to fight for a championship," Ruffy said during the media day. The event is set for Washington, D.C.
