New York PostA Napa Valley woman survived being shot in the head during a road rage attack on Memorial Day weekend. Police arrested a suspect also connected to a woman's death in Lake County. Meagan Stasko is recovering in the hospital after the attack, according to her sister Tara Stasko.
Tara Stasko wrote in a GoFundMe post that the suspect rammed Stasko's car multiple times before shooting her in the back of the head. The suspect fled after the shooting and was later arrested following a 911 call. Detectives used license plate cameras to identify the vehicle and performed a PIT maneuver to stop the car.
The suspect, identified by police as 38-year-old Coleman Rocheleau, was booked into the Hill Road Correctional Facility on charges connected to murder and torture. Lake County detectives found a woman dead inside a residence near Highway 29 and Point Lakeview Road in the Kelseyville Riviera area after Rocheleau mentioned another possible victim.
Rocheleau told investigators there could be another victim inside a Lake County residence. Detectives conducted a welfare check at a home that had earlier reports of shots fired and found the woman dead. The Lake County Sheriff's Office said the investigation is ongoing.
