OpenAI Eyes 2027 IPO While Anthropic Files to List at Higher Valuation

OpenAI signaled in the week of June 23 that it would rather wait to list publicly until 2027, Forbes reported. The company is easing off an earlier plan to go public as soon as the fourth quarter of 2026 after filing a confidential S-1 on May 22 with Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley.
Sam Altman has refused to trim the $1 trillion IPO target, a figure above the $852 billion valuation set when OpenAI closed its record $122 billion funding round in March.
