Panasonic Recalls 11,480 Toaster Ovens After Power-Cord Insulation Reports
Panasonic is recalling nearly 11,500 model NB-G200 electric toaster ovens sold in the United States and Canada. The recall follows reports of tripped circuit breakers and one unit that stopped working. No fires or injuries have been reported.

Panasonic is recalling nearly 11,500 model NB-G200 electric toaster ovens sold nationwide, Usa Today reported. The units were sold from October 2024 through April 2026 at a price of roughly $170 each through the company's website, Costco's online shop, Amazon and other retailers. The recall notice was published July 16 on the U.S.
Consumer Product Safety Commission website. It covers 11,480 units sold in the United States and an additional 2,184 units sold in Canada. The protective fiberglass sleeve on the power cord does not provide adequate insulation, creating a risk of shock or fire.
Four consumers reported tripped circuit breakers or outlets, and one unit stopped working. No fires or injuries have been reported. Owners are advised to stop using the ovens immediately and contact Panasonic for a full refund.
