Democratic Gov. Josh Shapiro and Republican challenger Stacy Garrity will compete in the November general election for governor of Pennsylvania. Both candidates ran unopposed in their respective primaries on Tuesday. Garrity, who is backed by President Donald Trump and the Republican Party, spent the weekend campaigning alongside lieutenant gubernatorial candidate Jason Richey in Pittsburgh, Johnstown, and Exeter.
