Background on 1968 events In March 1968, the woman saw classmates gathered around a newspaper. When she asked what they were reading, the answer was "Zionists." The same year, 13,000 Jews left Poland. Some of those who departed and their children later returned for the April trip.
Trip details Participants visited the Jewish Community Center in Warsaw for lunch during the journey. The Miszpucha Foundation organized the travel for emigrants and their descendants.
