Social media post shows figure holding globe on shoulders

A social media account posted an image on Saturday showing a figure on one knee draped in an American flag and holding a globe on its shoulders. The post contained no caption. The image appears to reference the Greek mythological figure Atlas.

Second image posted The same account posted a second image comparing two individuals at different ages. One photo shows a person in a military-style uniform from 1964. The other shows a different individual with a marijuana joint in their mouth during college years.

The account has previously posted other images that drew attention for their content. The Independent has requested comment from the White House.
