Teaser Trailer for Practical Magic 2 Released with Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman Reprising Roles

The sisters, from a long line of witches trying to live normal lives despite a family curse, feature prominently in scenes highlighting their magical heritage.

ABC reported that this track was used in the "midnight margaritas" scene of the first "Practical Magic" film. Additional cast members in the trailer include Joey King and Maisie Williams, with Stockard Channing returning as Aunt Frances and Dianne Wiest as Aunt Jet.”

"Practical Magic 2" premieres in theaters on September 11, 2026. The film's synopsis states that Sally and Gillian return to a world steeped in moonlit mischief and powerful ancestral magic. It further notes that the Owens sisters must confront the dark curse that threatens to unravel their family once and for all in a must-see cinematic event of fun, magic and mayhem.

Warner Bros. announced "Practical Magic 2" on June 10, 2024. ABC reported that Joey King, Maisie Williams and others were added to the cast on July 11, 2025. The film received its release date on May 6, 2025.

The first "Practical Magic" film was released in 1998 and was based on Alice Hoffman's 1995 novel of the same name. In that film, Gillian's boyfriend dies unexpectedly, prompting the sisters to give themselves a crash course in hard magic and try to resurrect him.

The original cast also included Evan Rachel Wood, Camilla Belle and Margo Martindale. " ABC reported that the sequel builds on the story of the Owens sisters navigating their witch lineage and the family curse in a small town setting, with aunts raising them in a magical family environment.
