Washington Examiner Magazine Discusses Trump Administration and Abortion Policy

The Washington Examiner magazine program Inside Scoop examined the Trump administration's record on abortion policy after the Dobbs decision. Jim Antle, the magazine's executive editor, said President Donald Trump appointed three Supreme Court justices who voted to overturn Roe v.

Wade. Antle stated that abortions have increased since the Dobbs v. Jackson decision. He said pro-life leaders are pressuring the administration to reduce the number of abortions ahead of the midterm elections. Antle noted that mail-order abortion pills have allowed access that circumvents state-level restrictions.

Sasse received attention for his work on national security issues and relations with China. Jay Caruso said Congress has not followed Sasse's warnings about legislative performance. Caruso stated that hearings have become more focused on producing social media clips and that threats to eliminate the legislative filibuster have increased.
