The Winnipeg Jets signed center Cole Perfetti to a five-year, $30 million contract. The agreement carries a $6 million annual salary cap hit and expires after the 2030-31 season, after which Perfetti will become an unrestricted free agent. Perfetti, 24, had filed for salary arbitration with a hearing set for Monday, July 20.
The new contract replaces a two-year bridge deal that carried an average annual value of $3.25 million. The Jets announced the signing Wednesday. The Jets drafted Perfetti 10th overall in 2020. He has played his entire five-year NHL career with the team.
In the 2025-26 season Perfetti recorded 12 goals and 20 assists in 68 games, posted a minus-9 rating and averaged 15 minutes and 37 seconds of ice time per game. Through 290 career regular-season games Perfetti has 59 goals and 98 assists. The Jets missed the playoffs in 2025-26 for the first time since 2022.
