Multi-time champions Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic exited in earlier rounds. Two-time French Open champion Carlos Alcaraz withdrew before the event due to a wrist injury. Two-time Paris finalist Casper Ruud also lost early. Zverev has dropped only two sets during his run and has spent twelve total hours on court entering the final.
