The Israeli Ministry of Defense announced today that defense exports reached a record $19.2 billion in 2025, marking the fifth consecutive annual increase. The figure represents a nearly 30 percent rise from the previous year. Officials attributed the growth to sustained demand from Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

Export composition Missile, rocket, and air-defense systems accounted for 29 percent of total deal volume. Observation and optronics systems rose to 22 percent of exports, up from 6 percent in 2024. Drones made up 4 percent of exports. Radar and electronic-warfare systems accounted for 11 percent, while manned aircraft and avionics also represented 11 percent.

Government-to-government deals reached a record $10 billion.

Regional breakdown Europe received 36 percent of the exports, down from 54 percent in 2024. Asia and the Pacific accounted for 32 percent. The Middle East received 15 percent and North America 13 percent.

There is a clear and unmistakable thread connecting the IDF’s battlefield achievements across all fronts, the extraordinary capabilities of Israel’s defense industries, and the success of Israeli defense exports around the world.

It is also the result of a deep reform carried out by the Ministry over the past year to reduce regulation and open new markets, which led to landmark deals.
